Fine Gold

Fine gold, otherwise known as gold dust is the finer particles of gold that come from panning, dredging, sluicing and so on. Since fine gold is far more common and easy to obtain than gold nuggets, prices tend to hover around or just above the spot price of gold. Sometimes it can be bought for less than spot price.

Take care not to purchase gold leaf. Some unscrupulous sellers have taken to selling large quantities of gold leaf and passing it off as fine gold through the use of such words as flakes or fine or even nuggets. This gold leaf is not natural placer gold. Read the listings carefully.
