The Grizzly Bear Nugget
Offered here is this exquisite 5.7 gram gold nugget found in the southern Bradshaw mountain range of Arizona. It's rough character indicates it has not travelled far from it's source. It has been cleaned with water and a toothbrush to maintain it's natural patina. I call it the Grizzly Bear Nugget because to my eye, it looks like a grizzly bearing it's teeth. Turned in a different direction, some people say it looks like a puppy dog sitting on it's haunches. Whatever it looks like, it's beautiful! There is a nice amount of host stone attached to this nugget, especially on the rough side. The host stone is black and ruddy in color. This specimen would make a wonderful pendant or addition to your display case collection.
