The Stormtrooper Nugget
Offered here is this exquisite 9.7 gram gold nugget found in the Arizona desert. It has an overall rough character and does not appear to have travelled far from it's source. It has been cleaned with water and a toothbrush to maintain it's natural patina which is overall of a slightly ochre color. While for the most part this nugget shines a brilliant yellow, some small smooth spots on this nugget actually have a green hue which is not seen very often. Properly speaking, this nugget is a specimen as it does show a fair amount of host stone which is black and maroon/rust red in color. The majority of this nugget, as you can see, is gold. I've always called it the Stormtrooper nugget because when you look at the rough side straight on it somewhat resembles a storm trooper helmet. It would make an amazing pendant or addition to your display case.
