GPX 4500 Metal Detector prices go through the roof
I don’t know how many of you have noticed, but lately, prices on the Minelab GPX4500 metal detector have just gone through the roof. Apparently, due to gold prices (Today the gold price hit an 18 month high), the interest in these detectors is soaring to the point that they are on worldwide back order to the tune of over 1000 detectors.
I guess the metal detector are rarer than gold itself these days. Metal detectors on Ebay are listing for as much as $8000 or even more.
Gerry’s Detector sales even has an Ebay auction for a lot of 10 detectors for $45000. You’ll have to wait on those though, at least a “few weeks”.
Hmmm. Maybe I should get a Dinner with Sarah Palininstead. It’s cheaper, but I don’t know if I’d pass the background check and my detector would probably be deemed to big to bring for her to sign. Maybe a coil?
All I know is that a brand new SD2100 is starting to look really appealing. Afterall, if you can’t get the latest and “most advanced”, you might as well go for “the best”.
