For most of the summer Doc and I have been pretty much down in the dumps. This summer seemed like the worse one in many years.

For some reason Doc hooked up with one of his old prospecting students who wanted to play in the dirt. This guy is one of those kind of people you meet that are few and far between. We spent 2 days moving overburden, digging holes and fixing roads. last nite he blew a coupler on the bucket. So this morning we get out early to fix it and neither one of use had the right size wrenches with us. So I go to town to get the stuff we need and he could still use the bucket so he widen the hole and did some more road repair. Well by the time I got back, he had blown a rear tire. So we are done. The picture you are about to see is what left of our little west hole after December’s floods.

The above pictures were from the first day and about 3 hours of the second day.
This next set of pictures will come in two’s. One marked one plane so that you can get a feel for what we are doing. Man some people pay good money to learn this information.
In the first two I try to help you get a feel for how small our hole was.

Friday, turned into on hellsh day. We blew 2 couplers to the hoe and blew out a rear tire.
But all in all we had alot of fun and in what little time we had the gold wasn’t half bad.

  1. That’s an awesome set of pictures, Bob. It really gives a perspective on the amount of work you guys are doing on those claims. Thanks for posting that!
