Great to see you mining (and posting) again! I definitely look forward to seeing the work you get done in the coming months. I was in slow mode for a few months myself and it sure feels good to get back in the game of finding gold.

Comment on WHY????? by Dan Houston

Well said Eric, sometimes the "WHY?" can become the "What if?" and we can spend too much time wrapped up in something we can't live over again. Regrets never come easy even though there is nothing you can do to make them change, we still fill ourselves with regret and sometimes guilt. I'm a Retired Army Disabled Vietnam Vet and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't wish there was something I could do over there to help prevent the loss of even one life, but I know in my heart that I would only slow them down and possibly make things worse. I'm very sorry for your loss and the loss to so many other families that have paid the Supreme Sacrifice but like you I stand behind our women and men in our armed forces. Not so much the politicians that make the decisions but very definitely our Brethren in Arms. Sincerely~desertratdan

Hey Bob,

Neat that you got to try the GP Extreme. It's a great machine and probably Minelab's most sensitive.

It would be interesting to see how many fines would come out of a wash like that.

Thanks for the comment Greg, I really appreciate it. I'll have to look further into it and see if I can't figure out exactly what type it is.

Hi!

This is definately a musket ramrod. As you can see, the shape of the cup end is just about the right fitment for a civil war style bullet. It looks like it might be an Enfield?? Could also be 58 cal?? Looks very much like civil war era.

Hope that helps
