This is a great website by my friend and hunting partner, Rod Fitzhugh. This site includes some really helpful tips, thousands of Arizona placer gold locations and one of the best forums for prospecting and nuggetshooting on the web. One of the few sites not associated with dealer bias.
GOLDSHEET Mining Directory is a comprehensive worldwide resource for mining related websites, which currently lists over 3000 mining firms, along with newsletters, mutual funds, and other interesting and useful sities.
Very cool tool for the placer prospector. It's basically a 1/4 inch dredge for bedrock sniping. If you don't have a goldtube, you are not getting all the gold off the bedrock. Period. Also, check out the professional panning tactics series on DVD.
Yavapai County prospector Russ Ford is a good friend. He used to run a brick and mortar prospecting shop in northern Arizona but, alas, no more. He's closed up the shop for good and moved on to better things, namely prospecting, which is what Russ was born to do. Russ still sells over the internet and is a trustworthy source of prospecting gear. Check out his Ebay store as he often has a good selection of equipment and metal detectors. Rob Allison is a Minelab and Coiltek dealer out of Peoria, AZ. He has a great forum and a lot of pictures of placer nuggets recovered with a metal detector. His page of photos of gold nuggets in nature is not to be missed.
Bill Southern is a reputable Minelab and Nuggetfinder dealer out of Morristown, AZ. His site has a wealth of information regarding nuggetshooting for placer gold in the Arizona deserts. His forum is probably the most active nuggetshooting forums on the web. Although he sells Minelabs and accessories on his website, some deals can be found on Ebay as well.
